WHAT IS ARTEFILL?
ArteFill is the first and only non-resorbable injectable filler for correction of nasolabial folds. It is dual acting. First, it visibly corrects wrinkles, then it provides the support the skin needs for permanent wrinkle correction.
HOW LONG DOES ARTEFILL LAST?
ArteFill lasts up to 5 years.
HOW IS ARTEFILL DIFFERENT FROM DERMAL FILLERS?
ArteFill has a different composition which is a combination of filtered microspheres and purified collagen which serves as a carrier for the microspheres. The microspheres are not absorbed by the body, so they remain intact. This provides a permanent support structure that prevents wrinkling.
IS A SKIN SENSITIVITY TEST REQUIRED?
Yes, a test for sensitivity to the collagen is required 1 month before treatment. The microspheres do not cause allergies.
HOW WILL MY FACE FEEL AFTER TREATMENT?
ArteFill will not be felt after treatment. You will see the results immediately and be able to return to normal daily activities shortly after your treatment. ArteFill usually causes less swelling and bruising than other fillers due to the collagen that it contains.
